Parenting is a never-ending job. We work so hard to try and raise good kids who will be a credit to society. I know that I can be guilty of being so busy parenting my tween….that I don't always do the best job encouraging my tween! Encouragement is important for people of every age and my tween is no different! Encouraging my tween to go big in life is something I know I will be glad I took the time to do!

Encouraging My Tween to Go Big
My 10-year-old daughter amazes me on a regular basis. When she was a toddler I always used the word “delightful” to describe her personality. As she grows up and is now approaching the “hard” years….I continue to be impressed with her inner strength.
A Season of Change
We have had a season of change in our family. We moved to a different town this past summer. I don't have to tell you that MOVING can be really hard on children. My daughter had some anxieties about a new town, new home and a new school.
Guess what….she went BIG and has overcome the fear of the unknown! She has embraced the changes in our life. She is rocking it with new friends and a new school…and a SMILE!
A Love of Life and Gymnastics
I love to watch the spark my daughter has for life. She embraces new experiences. She LOVES to stretch the boundaries of her abilities. Gymnastics is my daughter's favorite activity. Last year she wasn't taking formal lessons and yet she continued to progress in her skills. Her current teacher was really impressed with the improvements she had after not having lessons for a year! This girl GOES BIG and realizes it is worth it! It is so fun encouraging my tween to keep working on her passions!
Perfect Name for a Perfect Snack
I know that my daughter will be ready for a substantial snack after she practices her gymnastics. When I found the new Yoplait Go Big Yogurt at the store I knew it was the perfect snack for her. This large yogurt pouch was designed with my daughter in mind!
Just think about the name…Go Big! Such a great theme for tweens and teens to embrace life. I love that Yoplait Go Big is made with real fruit and will satisfy my tween's growing hunger. My daughter loves how easy it is to grab and go with the easy to use grip and rip design.
A Letter of Encouragement to My Tween
I love the challenge from Yoplait Go Big to write a letter to my tween or teen. I think that communication is key to great parenting. Writing a letter of encouragement to my tween is just one more way I can communicate my love to her!
Now I thought I would share my letter encouraging my tween and hopefully inspire you to write a letter too!
Dear Daughter,
I know that you already know how much I love you. I wonder sometimes if you know how much you inspire me?
You have some qualities that I truly admire and some that I wish I had myself. First of all, I am so proud of how you embraced our move. You had moments of fear and nervousness…but you overcame those feelings. You have put yourself out there…you went BIG….you have made so many new friends. Despite new circumstances you have kept your smile in place.
I am proud to be your mom. Watching you strive to improve your gymnastics skills really inspires me. I enjoy seeing your creativity at crafts, videos and play. Most of all I know you will GO BIG in your life because you have that spark inside you.
Always know that I am here to encourage and love you in the big areas of life and the little areas of life. I hope you will continue to charge forward and knock those obstacles down as they come at you.
Love Always,
Mom

Your daughter is talented. My grand daughter loves gymnastics but, my youngest a teen at home is a tennis player. We love YoplaitGoBig
It is fun to see what interests our kids! I was never good at gymnastics myself…so who knows where she gets it, LOL!
