I know if you are reading this post that you probably already love your pressure cooker! I feel like a broken record in every pressure cooker recipe post I do because I go on and on about how great the pressure cooker is to cook with! This Pressure Cooker Spaghetti and Meatballs recipe is no different! It fits right in with my family friendly electric pressure cooker recipes!
Easy is the name of the game when it comes to cooking with the pressure cooker. It is just dump and cook and I love that so much! This recipe also really infuses the flavors into the meatballs and they are super yummy!
This is also only a three ingredient meal…woot woot!!
Ingredients for Pressure Cooker Spaghetti and Meatballs
14-20 ounce bag of frozen meatballs
16 ounce package of spaghetti noodles
45 ounce jar of spaghetti sauce (this is the bigger jar!!)
How to Make Pressure Cooker Spaghetti and Meatballs
Place your frozen meatballs into the pressure cooker pot.
Add your dry spaghetti noodles. I break my noodles up before placing in the pot.
Pour your spaghetti sauce over the meatballs and noodles. The sauce needs to really cover the noodles well so they will cook. If it isn't covering the noodles totally then add some water to your empty jar of spaghetti sauce and swish it around. Pour some of the water into the pressure cooker until you are satisfied the noodles are covered properly.
Remember…the pressure cooker uses liquid to do the cooking…so you need the liquid of the sauce/water to make sure the food is cooked right!
I have a Power Pressure Cooker XL and on it I set it to Rice/Risotta—Medium. If you are using a different brand of pressure cooker you will need to set it to cook for about 18 minutes.
Infused Flavor
We loved how the spaghetti sauce flavors really infused into the meatballs. It was amazing how a basic jar of store bought spaghetti sauce really became so much more flavorful because of the way the pressure cooker cooks!!
This is such a simple weeknight meal! We added some french bread and veggies and were set in no time. It was so nice to not have to cook the noodles, drain the noodles, etc…all those steps vanished with the pressure cooker!
