Chili Dog Casserole

A delicious comfort food that is a great way to use up leftover chili!

Ingredients

  • 1 package of hot dogs cut up into 1 inch slices
  • 2-3 cups of chili leftovers work great or you could use canned chili
  • 2 cans Crescent rolls
  • 1-2 cups of shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. First you will cut your package of hot dogs into 1 inch slices.
  3. Put your chili and hot dog slices into a 9 x 13 baking pan and mix together.
  4. Take the 2 cans of crescent rolls and pinch the dough into small pieces and drop onto the top of the chili mixture.
  5. Bake for approximately 20-30 minutes until the crescent rolls are nicely browned on top. You want to make sure and cook it long enough or the underside of the dough won't be done!
  6. During the last 5 minutes of baking, remove baking pan from oven and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  7. Return pan to the oven and bake until cheese is nice and melted!

Recipe Notes

You can use turkey hot dogs, low fat crescent rolls and less cheese to make this healthier!
