Ingredients

  • 32 ounce country style hash browns cube style, Defrosted
  • 1 package rope smoked sausage cut into small cubes
  • 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon onion powder
  • 3 cups shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl mix your cream of chicken soup, water and onion powder together by hand and set aside.
  2. Dice your smoked sausage up into small pieces.
  3. Lightly grease your slow cooker with cooking spray.
  4. Place your thawed hash browns, smoked sausage and cheese into the slow cooker. Pour the soup mixture over the other ingredients and stir it all together.

  5. Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on high for 2.5 to 3 hours or until the potatoes are soft and the smoked sausage is hot.

Recipe Notes

If you like real onions you can use a small diced onion instead of onion powder! :)
I served this with some buttered biscuits and it really hit the spot on a cold, dreary evening!
