Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 large garlic cloves minced
  • ¼-1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 28 ounce can whole tomatoes in juice drained and broken up (fire-roasted tomatoes are even better!)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients into the Instant Pot.
  2. Pressure cook for the ingredients for 15 minutes and then let it release naturally.
  3. Using a hand blender puree the sauce until it is a consistency you like! I don't like mine to be chunky...so I blend until smooth.

Recipe Notes

Use canned fire-roasted tomatoes for even more flavor!
You can use less or no red pepper flakes to reduce the heat!
Store in the refrigerator in a jar with a lid...double the batch to have extra sauce!
Be sure to remember that total cook time will vary based on how long it takes to release the pressure!
