Ingredients

  • 2 cans lump crab meat drained, the cans are 6 ounces each
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon low sodium Old Bay seasoning
  • ½ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup chopped parsley

Dipping Sauce Ingredients

  • ½ cup Fat-Free plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 clove garlic small, grated
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl combine the drained crab meat, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, old bay seasoning, panko breadcrumbs and parsley. Mix it well. There is no need for extra salt. The old bay seasoning is salty enough.
  2. Add the beaten egg and mix again. Cover and chill for 30 minutes
  3. Using a ¼ cup measure, make 6 crab cakes out of the mix.
  4. Lightly spray a nonstick pan with cooking spray and pan fry the crab cakes for 4 to 5 minutes, each side on medium heat.
  5. Serve hot with the dipping sauce.

Dipping Sauce Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients for the dipping sauce in a large bowl and whisk it well.
  2. Serve with the crab cakes.

Recipe Notes
