  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium-sized bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.

  3. In another large bowl, mix together both sugars, molasses, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Add dry flour mix and fold it in.
  5. Add the chocolate chips and mix them in.

  6. Roll about a tablespoon of cookie dough into a ball. Flatten the tops of the cookies with your fingers. These cookies don't spread much. They puff up.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and put cookies on a wire rack to cool.

  8. Store in an airtight container on the counter.
