This Air Fryer Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy recipe is so simple to make and the results are crispy steak with hardly any oil required!
Season the cubed beef steaks, generously with salt and pepper and set aside.
Taking one seasoned cubed steak at a time, dip it first into flour mixture then into the buttermilk-egg mixture, and then finally back into flour mixture. Repeat with the remaining cubed streaks.
Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil spray and place the prepped cubed streaks in it.
While the steaks are cooking it is time to make the gravy. Add the butter and flour to a sauce pan.
Cook over medium heat till the butter is melted and the raw flavor of the flour is gone. About 1 to 1½ minutes.
Whisk in the milk, salt, black pepper. Keep whisk continuously over medium-high heat, until the mixture begins to thicken.
