  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees. Prepare the air fryer basket by spritzing with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a rimmed dish, toss the asparagus with the olive oil and lemon juice. Add the garlic, salt and black pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  3. Transfer the asparagus to the prepared air fryer basket.
  4. Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the thickness of the asparagus stalks and your desired tenderness.
  5. Prior to serving, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
