I love that you are reading scriptures with your family! I have just started doing this with my daughter every night before bed. We have this application on the phone that reads it to us (I know being lazy lol) But it leaves us with time to both take it all in and if we have any questions we just stop the speaking and look things up/ask. I feel it bringing us closer to God and eachother! Thanks so much for your post!
