You can stretch snack time out longer if you have the kids make their own snack, lol! This is an easy and healthy snack for kids and they will enjoy the process.
If you are like we are right now….without snow….making these little Banana Snowmen Snacks might help your kids forget that they don't have any snow to play in!
Ingredients Needed for a Banana Snowmen Snack
Bananas
Pretzel Sticks
Mini Chocolate Chips
Thin slices of carrot
Raisins
Black Seedless Grapes
I didn't list exact amounts for the ingredients because it all depends on how many Banana Snowmen Snacks you plan to make! I think you will be able to figure out how many items you will need! 🙂 If you don't want to bother with getting lollipop sticks…it isn't crucial to the snack. Your child won't be able to pick their snowmen up though….just look at it on the plate. If you child doesn't care for raisins…just use more chocolate chips. You can also just look around your kitchen to see what you have that would work!
How to Make a Banana Snowmen Snack
Start off by slicing your banana(s) into thick slices…about an inch thick or so.
Slide 3 banana slices onto your lollipop stick. (if you aren't using a stick…just lay them out on the plate like a snowman)
Take your pretzel sticks and gently put one stick into each side of the middle banana slice for the arms.
Use the raisins for eyes. If they are too big…you can cut them in half.
Use the mini chocolate chips for the mouth and the buttons on the middle banana slice.
Take your tiny carrot slice and stick it into the top banana slice for the nose.
You can use the black grape for a hat. Push the lollipop stick a little further through the top of the first banana slice and you can stick the grape on for the hat. You can cut the grape in half or use it whole…kind of depends on what size grape it is.
That is all it takes to make a Banana Snowmen Snack! It is fun to make and healthy to eat! I am not sure why…but kids are much more willing to eat fruits and veggies if they are in the shape of animals or something fun!
