I really love peanut clusters!  I have made them at home before and they turned out pretty good, but I knew there had to be an easier way! It dawned on me that my crock pot was going to be the way to make peanut clusters. Nothing is better than getting other things done while your crockpot peanut clusters are cooking.

Crockpot Peanut Clusters

I was really impressed with how EASY this recipe was….and how DELICIOUS the peanut clusters turned out!  My kids had a hard time waiting for the clusters to set up before digging in!

This recipe makes a BIG batch.  My counter was covered with peanut clusters while they were setting up!! It would be great for giving as gifts in cute candy containers.  It is also something you could take to your local nursing home as a service project!

I also love that these last a long time stored in an airtight container!  They are a great candy to make several days ahead of a party!

How to Make Crock Pot Peanut Clusters

Add all ingredients to your 6 quart or larger slow cooker.

Cook on low for 1 hour without stirring. After an hour, stir to combine ingredients. I always use my Lid Pocket for my slow cooker lid. This is such a great invention!!

Cook another hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

Drop spoonfuls of the peanut mixture onto wax paper.

Allow to cool completely.

Store in an airtight container.

  1. Made this they are really good but instead of cooking for an hour then stirring every 15 minutes I cooked on low for 90 minutes and stirred until combined then dropped on wax paper. I also used 32 oz lightly salted dry roasted peanuts. I sprayed crock pot lightly put peanuts on bottom and rest of ingredients on top, it kept the chocolate from cooking on bottom and clean up was easy.

  2. Hello there. I was wondering if I can use pecans instead of peanuts? Cause my sister and other family and friends are allergic to peanuts and i’d really love to make these. Thanks in advance for a response.

  3. I can’t find white chocolate bark, is that the same as just getting a white chocolate bar? Or can I use white chocolate chips?

  4. Hey, My wife and I have been making these for appx. 5 years. We make at least 4 batches every Christmas and give to special relatives and friends. It’s a special treat and they are practically asked for every year. I make a special batch for myself with milk chocolate chips and freeze them in 2 quart Zip lock plastic containers and munch on them until about June or July when they are gone. They are great right out of the freezer. If you were to ask a hundred people for their recipe for peanut clusters, I believe you would get a hundred different recipes. Our recipe is as follows:

    5 cups dry roasted peanuts
    1 bar chocolate almond bark 24 0z.
1 bar vanilla almond bark 24 oz.
    1 bar German chocolate 4 0z.
1 pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips 12 oz. Milk choc. is OK to use.

Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low for two hours. After the first 30 minutes I stir every 15 minutes. You definitely don’t want to let the chocolate burn or dry out on the bottom of the pot. Stir more often if necessary.

I believe you can change this recipe around any way you want to, to your liking. Just don’t burn the chocolate.

Hope this info has been helpful.

      1. Made these recently. They are AMAZING! Had to make 1 change though. Bought everything, intending to make for Christmas but never got it done. When I started putting in crockpot, I realized that the almond flavored bark was only 1.5 lbs, so added the balance in chocolate flavored bark. One of the reasons I decided to make them in the 1st place was because my husband absolutely LOVES the ones they have @ Albertsons and I had been getting them for him. He barely let them set up before he grabbed one & when I asked him how they were he said they were WAY better than theirs. Oh, and you’re right about it making a ton of candy, I made mine about 2″ in diameter and got 120 clusters! Love this recipe and will definitely be making them again.

  6. Absolutely delicious! My hubby and neighbors loved these! I’m making it again since I gave too many last time…They are so easy!

    1. I think the German Chocolate makes a difference, but I know it can be hard to find some years. It would probably work fine with chocolate almond bark, but I haven’t done it personally. Let me know how it turns out!
