TYPES OF GOLDFISH
There are many different kinds of goldfish, and each one has specific traits such size, color, fin structure, and body form. These are a few popular varieties of goldfish:
CARASSIUS AURATUS
This is the traditional goldfish that most people have grown up to. It is available in gold, orange, and red, and features a long, sleek body.
COMET GOLDFISH
The comet's tail is deeper and longer than that of a typical goldfish. Its swimming style is renowned for being elegant and comet-like.
SHUBUNKIN
This particular kind features a calico design, which consists of various shades of red, orange, yellow, blue, black, and white. Shubunkins have a slender body and just one tail.
FANTAIL GOLDFISH
Fantail goldfish, distinguished by their round body and characteristic double tail, can swim more slowly than certain other types. They are available in a variety of color combinations.
BLACK MOOR
Black Moors have a spherical body form and a flowy twin tail. They can be identified by their deep black coloring and telescope-style eyes. The accents on their tanks should be chosen carefully because their eyes could make them more vulnerable to harm.
RYUKIN
A unique attribute of Ryukins is a bump on the backside of their heads. The bump is called a “wen”. They have a graceful double tail and a short yet shallow body.
ORANDA GOLDFISH
The noticeable growth, called a “wen,” on the top of orandas' heads is what makes them identifiable. At certain points, this could go over their heads and even reach their bodies. Their colors range from different shades and they have two tails.
LIONHEAD GOLDFISH
The hood or “wen” that surrounds their heads gives lionhead goldfish a distinct look. They also lack a dorsal fin and have a small, rounded body. Their color might be matte or metallic.
TELESCOPE
Because of their projecting eyeballs, telescope goldfish resemble real telescopes. Their fin kinds and body morphologies might vary widely.
BUBBLE EYE GOLDFISH
The “bubbles” beneath these goldfish's eyes are sacs filled with fluid. They have a fragile form, therefore to avoid hurting them, keep them in a tank with a soft surface.
PEARLSCALE
Round in shape with two tails, pearlscale goldfish are easily recognized by their elevated scales that resemble a golf ball. They are available in a wide range of colors.
TYPES OF GOLDFISH CRACKERS
I am sure you have seen a bag of goldfish more than once in your life. These fish snacks are very popular with kids of all ages. They just love snacking on them! If you are not familiar with them, they are small, fish-shaped crackers that are gold orange colored. In fact, there are even 7 different flavors. Here's what they are:
Original
The traditional cheddar cheese flavor is the Goldfish classic. These orange-colored crackers taste cheesy and flavorful. They are the most well-known of all the flavors.
CHEDDAR
Like the first kind, but with a stronger taste of cheddar cheese. Compared to the original, these crackers can have a somewhat sharper zing and a greater cheese taste.
PRETZEL
Because pretzel dough is used to make these Goldfish crackers, they have a crispy texture and a salty taste.
FLAVOR BLASTED
Based from the name, the flavor of these crackers are more powerful. These come in 3 different flavors as well – pizza, sour cream & onion, and xtreme cheddar.
WHOLE GRAIN
For a healthier option, they also have one that is made from whole grain giving it a distinct texture.
COLORS
These have cheddar flavor but come in various goldfish colors. Kids will definitely love these!
ORGANIC
Just like the whole grain crackers these are made with organic ingredients but with the same flavor.
