Are you as ready for summer as I am? Probably so….I think by May it is just time for a break. Parents and kids are ready to be done with school work, homework, practices, etc. Everyone needs some down time and some fun time! Bucket lists are really popular and not just the ones you try to accomplish before you die, LOL. Families are making bucket lists for all sorts of things. I think a summer bucket list is a great place to start. It is time to make your own summer bucket list!

Make Your Own Summer Bucket List
If you have never made a bucket list, no worries…it is easy! A bucket list is really just a list of experiences or achievements that a person wants to accomplish during a specific time frame. Bucket lists got really popular after the movie, The Bucket List, that was out in 2006. The popularity of the concept has stayed strong for over 10 years now!
How to Make Your Own Summer Bucket List
It is super fun and easy to make your own summer bucket list. You can do this for yourself or for your whole family. I like to do this with my family because let's face it….as a busy mom….I don't have time to just focus on what I want to do, LOL!
We will sit down as a family and start talking. I ask everyone to think about what they want to do this summer (within reason, right? LOL). We start making a big list of all the ideas. Then I will see which ideas have multiple votes. These are things that we really try to focus on because several people are interested in them.
I try to make sure everyone has some of their top picks on the list. We try to narrow it down to a manageable number so that we can be successful in our bucket list completion by the end of summer.
Then we write down our final choices on this cute printable I made and we hang it on the refrigerator. Hanging it up in a prominent place helps us stay focused on having family fun together all summer long!!
