5 Family Friendly Dinner Ideas Using Noodles
Our favorite noodles are No Yolks. No Yolks are the most versatile noodle I have used. They always cook up JUST RIGHT! These noodles are smooth, firm and fluffy and they stay that way even in my recipes.
No Yolks has an amazing variety of cuts too. This keeps dinner time from getting boring! You can choose from broad, extra broad, fine, kluski, dumplings and stir-fry.
Butter Noodles
Butter noodles are a quick and easy side dish for any meal. It is also an easy way to have a “meat-free” dinner if you prefer. Just pair the butter noodles with some steamed veggies and dinner is served.
All I do to make butter noodles is cook some broad or extra broad No Yolks noodles according to the package directions. Then I add in some butter, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Just stir it all together and it is done.
Soup
We love soup at our house and No Yolks go great in so many soups!! Most soups have a base of chicken, beef or vegetable broth. Then it is easy to throw in whatever your family likes!
I love to use spicier seasonings to bring some great flavor to my soup!
Stir-Fry
Making a simple stir-fry is one way to add more veggies to your plate. The No Yolks stir-fry noodles are delicious when combined with some fresh veggies and whatever sauce I may have on hand.
It is easy to cook the noodles according to the package directions. Then I just add them to a big skillet with some veggies, a little oil and some soy sauce or teriyaki sauce. If I don't have fresh veggies I may use a frozen veggie blend.
Noodle Cups
Muffin pans can really put a fun twist on dinner. One way to change things up is to use your noodles and make noodle cups in a muffin pan.
First just cook your noodles. Then spray your muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray. Combine your noodles with your choice of meats, veggies, sauces. Put the mixture into the muffin pan and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Bake for 10 minutes or so and you have a fun food that kids will gobble up!!
We like to add pepperoni and mozzarella cheese to our noodles for pizza cups. 🙂
One Pot Meal
I love being able to cut down on how many dishes get dirty when I am cooking dinner. After I cook my noodles I will use the same pot that I cooked them in and make a one pot meal.
There are so many ways you can customize a one pot meal with noodles. I just look in the cabinet to see what I have on hand. I try to add some veggies, meat and usually some cheese! One easy way to change your one pot meal is to use different seasoning mixes to totally give it a new flavor.
