Colorado Springs, Colorado is a one stop shop when it comes to vacationing. If you like going places that offer a huge variety of options all in one geographic area then this is the place for you.
This is a place that offers something for every age group. Couples, families and retired individuals will all find activities they enjoy in this beautiful location.
Although Colorado Springs is Colorado's 2nd largest city, it does not have a large city feel at all.Â
A trip to Colorado Springs will ensure that you have Instagram worthy pictures by the end of your vacation! There are so many photogenic locations that your finger may get tired from snapping pics all week-long.Â
Colorado Springs offers a wonderful mix of outdoor adventures, history, arts, shopping and food! There are so many different things to do in this area that it will leave you wanting more time! This Colorado Springs bucket list gives you a taste of the many options in the area.
COLORADO SPRINGS BUCKET LIST
I like to plan my vacations and research the area I will be visiting. When we vacationed in Colorado Springs there were certain activities that we knew we wanted to do and then lots more that we hoped we would have time to do.Â
This Colorado Springs Bucket List will help you organize your trip and you can decide which activities will make the cut! The ability to stay busy and unplugged is easy.
The bucket list is BIG because there are SO MANY options for fun in Colorado Springs. Pick and choose the items that will work best for your family.Â
I am highlighting some of our favorite destinations and must-do activities!
GARDEN OF THE GODS
The Garden of the Gods has to be at the top of the list when you visit Colorado Springs. It is truly a beautiful, awe-inspiring place and we enjoyed it tremendously.Â
This park is free to visit. There are 15 miles of trails with some of those being paved for strollers and wheelchairs. The awesome red rock formations can reach up to 300 feet high in places.
PIKES PEAK
Pikes Peak is probably America's most famous mountain. It is possible to drive to the summit on Pikes Peak Highway.Â
The view from the top is just magnificent overlooking the city of Colorado Springs! My kids loved being able to say they had been at the very top of a mountain! Don't forget to eat a donut while you are up there!
UNITED STATES OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER
My husband is a big Olympics supporter and loved being able to visit the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. This is a location that is very educational and inspiring for kids too!Â
I was excited to hear that a U.S. Olympic Museum will be opening up in 2020. This will be something we will definitely want to come back and visit!
SEVEN FALLS
We loved our time at Seven Falls even if it did involve walking up a LOT of stairs, LOL. Seven Falls is a beautiful series cascading waterfalls. They are located in a box canyon the area is very pretty. This is the only waterfall in Colorado to make the National Geographic's list of international waterfalls!
ROYAL GORGE BRIDGE
The Royal Gorge Bridge is very impressive and there is a lot to do in the surrounding area. The bridge is one of the highest suspension bridges in the world and it is very awe-inspiring to walk across!
There are lots of activities available at the Royal Gorge Park that include a zip line, sky coaster, children's playground, water clock, theater, photo look outs and a visitor center.Â
HUGE LIST OF ACTIVITIES IN COLORADO SPRINGS
These were just some of the activities we enjoyed when we visited Colorado Springs. We are anxious to go back to Colorado Springs again in the future so we can see the sights we didn't get to before.
