Hashbrown casserole is a favorite of my immediate and extended family. It shows up at every family cookout and it is rare that there are leftovers. I wanted to find a way to make hashbrown casserole even easier. I finally found a good recipe for Crock Pot Hashbrown Casserole and it is delish!
Crock Pot Hashbrown Casserole
I have made several different types of hashbrown casserole over the years. There is one recipe that I make that has ground beef in it and it can be a whole meal. There are several versions of your basic casserole..all very cheesy and delicious! One of my cousins is famous in our family for her delicious hashbrown casserole! We always request that she bring it to all our family functions!
I love when a recipe can be made in the crock pot. This is perfect to put in before church…and it will be ready when you get home! It would be great to take to a luncheon at work because it only needs to cook for 4-5 hours. I adapted this recipe from Stockpiling Moms!

What is Your Favorite Party Side Dish?
What is your favorite side dish for parties? Have you ever tried to make hashbrown casserole in a slow cooker?
In a large bowl mix the sour cream, soup, onion, salt, pepper, butter and shredded cheese.
Add in the hashbrowns and combine with liquid mixture.
Spray crock pot with nonstick spray. Use at least a 4 quart crock pot or larger.
Put hashbrown mixture into crock pot.
Cook on low for 4-5 hours or until done.
The casserole will be crispy and browned on the sides and hot and bubbly in the middle. You can add more shredded cheese to the top about 20 minutes before it is done if you like lots of cheese.
