I came across this Easter quote and just loved it! It says so much without saying a lot…if you know what I mean.
For Christians, Easter really is important in our faith. The act of love that was the cross is the whole basis for our salvation. If you are not at all sure what I am talking about you can read more about the topic of Christianity HERE.
This Easter Quote Says So Much
I have been reading a very good book, but a difficult one to read…it is called “Killing Christians: Living the Faith Where It's Not Safe to Believe” by Tom Doyle. As we near Easter and I read this Easter quote…I can't help but be convicted of the need to pray for these Christians that are truly risking their lives every day for their faith and beliefs in God. As American Christians we really need to be educated about what it takes to be a follower of Christ in other areas around the world! This book is very eye-opening and as hard as it is to hear about what is actually going on around the world…it is information I needed to have! I go through phases when it really is easier for me to just stick my head in the sand and pretend the whole world is a happy loving place, but I know that is not what God would have me to do.
On a totally different note…this Easter quote also makes me chuckle because my husband and I love to watch murder mystery shows on TV like 48 hours, 20/20, Snapped, etc. We have seen this quote play out in a secular way over and over….the truth seems to always come out! It really amazes me that people still think they can get away with horrible crimes…don't they watch TV? 🙂
What do you think of this Easter quote? Do you like to know what is really going on in the world or are you like me at times and pretend all is well?

With social media being everywhere, the problems of the world are at our fingertips. There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t see on my news feed about a baby dieing at the hands of his mother or people being hurt in car accidents that could have been easily prevented. There are days where I wished I had never opened Facebook. But we just have to pray from the ones lost and hurt and hug the ones we love dearly!
So true Ashley!!
My beliefs are a little different, but this quote still resonates with me – and I like the parallel you mentioned with crime shows (which I watch plenty of, too). It seems that no matter what the topic is, the truth will always come out.. eventually 😀
Thanks for commenting Chrisy! Yes…the truth always seems to come out someday!
I think I rather pretend all is well. This quote does make a lot of sense though.
Cant say I pretend all is well because as a therapist I know things are not. However, I avoid watching the news, and thus what other Christians may be experiencing because I find dealing with the issues in my immediate world enough.
Yes, I would imagine you have enough on your plate just helping others!
I love this quote! The truth always comes out.
As for your question, I really am not that interested what is going on in the world. I do watch 30 minutes of news in the morning while I am getting ready so I will not go through the day clueless. I do not think it is because I am pretending all is well – I am just not that interested. I surround myself with to news fanatics – my husband and my best friend. If something is going on that I need to know about, they make sure I know about it. I am a technology fanatic, so I let them know what they need to know when it comes to technology:-)
Thanks for sharing this quote! I am definitely sharing in on my social media accounts this week.
