As the final hours of 2014 are fading away….many people are thinking about the coming year. New Year's Resolutions will be made tonight…I hear only about 8% of people actually keep the resolutions they make. I stopped making resolutions several years ago because it was just something that I would end up failing at.
I do look at each new year as an opportunity…there are so many things we can do, we can change, we can hope for! I have heard a lot recently about picking a “word of the year” and I think it is a good idea.
It may be hard to find a word that sums up what you are hoping to achieve in the coming year…you may need to pick more than one word.
I have been thinking about the word that would work best for me for 2015. The word I chose is: INTENTIONAL.
This word may seem overused to some….and that is fine with me! I like to do my own thing….but if the word fits…use it! 🙂
This word is actually the one that I have been using for the past 2 years….not in an official capacity..but in my mind and in my heart. The word is working for me…it is keeping me focused on my goal….to live a more intentional life!
I hope to continue being more intentional in my spiritual life…more intentional in my marriage..more intentional in my parenting..more intentional in how I treat others.
I would love to hear if picking a word is something that appeals to you….if so…what word did you chose?
