HISTORY OF EASTER EGGS
Eggs have been a symbol of new life, rebirth, and fertility for thousands of years.
Easter eggs play a large role in the Christian faith. They are symbolic of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many Orthodox Catholics dye eggs red to represent the blood of Jesus Christ. The hard shell represents the sealed tomb and cracking the shell represents Jesus' resurrection from the dead.
Today people from all faiths and beliefs dye eggs at Easter for a variety of reasons.

It is nice to not have to buy a store-bought egg kit at Easter time. Most of the items in the kits don't even get used and are tossed in the trash. I had all the items needed for this project on hand.
- Hard-Boiled Eggs
- Shaving Cream
- Muffin Pan
- Food Coloring
- Toothpicks
- Plastic Spoons
- Paper Towels
- Plastic Gloves

HOW TO MAKE SHAVING CREAM EASTER EGGS
These eggs are so simple to color and it is easy to make many different color combinations.
STEP ONE: ADD SHAVING CREAM
Start off by adding a thin layer of shaving cream to each muffin cup. Take a plastic spoon and even out the shaving cream in each of the muffin cups.
STEP TWO: ADD FOOD COLORING
Now add some food coloring into each muffin cup. Put 5 to 10 drops of food coloring and feel free to use different color combinations.
Take a toothpick and swirl the coloring around in the cup so it has a tie-dye look.
STEP THREE: ADD EGGS
Put on the plastic gloves to keep your hands from getting dyed! Gently place an egg into each muffin cup. Roll the egg around so it is completely covered with the shaving cream.
Let the eggs sit for 10-15 minutes so the dye really attaches to the egg shell for brighter colors.
STEP FOUR: RINSE
Rinse each of the eggs in cold water to clean off the shaving cream.
Now put the eggs in a bowl or container that has been lined with paper towels to dry.
