I love cheese balls, but most are the same old, same old. This Green Chile Cheese Ball has a totally different flavor that makes it stand out from the rest! This cheese ball has a Mexican flair that makes you want to keep going back for more!
Make the Green Chile Cheese Ball Ahead of Time
Cheese balls are a great appetizer to take to parties because you can make them up ahead of time. When I have to take snacks to work…I can make the cheese ball the night before and it is ready to grab and go in the morning! This is also an easy recipe to double and then just make 2 cheese balls if you have a busy weekend of get togethers…you are ready to roll!
Green Chile Cheese Ball is Versatile
This cheese ball has a little bit of a Mexican flavor to it! It is a different twist on a crowd favorite! The other great thing is that you can use a lot of different snacks for dipping! Tortilla chips work great…but crackers and pita chips
also taste good with this Green Chile Cheese Ball. It is a versatile appetizer and you can give your friends a variety of dipping options!
Cheese Balls are Easy to Dress Up
One thing that I like about taking a cheese ball to a party is that it is easy to present. The cheese ball goes great on a platter. It is fun to get festive holiday platters
to present your food on. I try to buy holiday platters after the holiday on clearance and then I am ready for the next year! You can also get solid color platters that will work for multiple holidays. My red platter gets a lot of use at Christmas…but also on the 4th of July!
There are also some really cute cheese spreaders available that can dress up a plain white platter
in no time!

Perfect for the super bowl coming up.
Sounds like it would taste good!
I know cheese balls would be popular in my house. Thanks.
I’m definitely going to make these!! I like the idea of preparing them a night before, perfect for parties. Xx
We love cheese and haven’t always eaten a lot because our daughter has a severe dairy allergy. We bought vegan cheese substitutes. She is grown now and doesn’t live at home, so we’ve gone a bit cheese crazy. This perfectly fits our dairy needs right now! 😉
Cheese is so good…I can see why you’ve gone crazy if you didn’t eat much of it for so long!
I have some cheese lovers in my world. Looks like a great recipe to try.
I pinned this for when I can actually eat it (after my healthy eating challenge!)
Made this and it was a hit!
So glad Edith!
Do you think it would taste ok crusted in walnuts instead of pecans?
Yes I do.
I love this recipe and every time I make it to serve everyone raves about it.
Thanks so much! I would love if you could leave a rating.
