How about a two-ingredient snack idea Weight Watchers recipe? Well…these Weight Watchers Air Fryer Apple Chips with cinnamon are only 2 ingredients and turn out crispy and delicious! Did I mention this is a Weight Watchers recipe that smells amazing?

Weight Watchers Air Fryer Apple Chips
I know I have mentioned how much I like crunchy snacks. Using an air fryer is one way to get crispy snacks without added oil or grease. That is a win-win for people trying to lose weight.
There are lots of air fryers on the market…and tons of pros/cons about using an air fryer. The biggest complaint I have heard is that they don't hold a lot of food so if you are feeding a crowd it could take forever. Another common complaint is that the machines are loud.Â
Those of you who don't want to use an air fryer can always make these in the oven. Just prepare the apples, spread them onto a baking sheet, and bake at 225° for an hour or so until they are dry and the edges start to curl up.

How to Make Air Fryer Apple Chips
Take the apples and slice them with the peel on…very thinly. The variety of apples you use is just up to you. Sweet or tart apples make good air fryer apple chips. I would use what I have on hand!
To get really thin apple slices it helps to use a mandoline slicer. I have had one for YEARS. It only gets used a few times a year, but those times are so worth the storage space it takes up.

Go ahead and toss the apple slices with cinnamon. This recipe is leaving off the sugar for caloric reasons, but you can add sugar or even sugar substitutes if you prefer more sweetness.
Spread the apple slices evenly on the air fryer basket. You don't want the apple slices overlapping much, so you may have to do this in batches.

Air fry the apples for 10 minutes, stopping and shaking the basket a few times during the cooking time. This will help prevent any scorching. Some chips will crisp up faster than others. If some get stuck together then unstick them!
Once the slices appear to be done allow them to cool down. The air fryer apple chips will crisp up even more as they dry.

Thanks for all your great recipes. I find myself going to your site often. Have a blessed day.
You made my day Jeanette! Thanks so much for visiting and your kind words.
I tried making these a few months ago. Sliced using my mandolins. They were so thin that as they dried the started flying around in the basket and came in contact with the heating element. That did not smell so great.
I can imagine that would have smelled bad! It can be tricky to get them sliced thin, but not too thin.
Thanks Jamie, I greatly appreciate your newsletter. I’m on WW too, and you always encourage me. I love my air fryer, and thanks for the apple idea. I have 2 boxes of our apples waiting for me to be inspired 🙂
Hi Judy, so glad I can be of help. Thanks for reading!
After 10 minutes mine weren’t done at all. I flipped them and put in another 4 minutes, but then they all started to burn. Hmm.
Darn…it can be tricky to get the apples sliced just the right thickness…wonder if that had anything to do with it?
