- Leprechauns are part of Irish folklore.
- Leprechauns are part of the fairy family.
- The Leprechaun is typically grouchy and very solitary.
- Leprechauns are cobblers by trade and spend their time hammering soles to shoes for fairies.
- The story goes that because fairies dance so much they need a lot of shoe repair completed and therefore Leprechauns make a lot of money repairing shoes.
- This is the reason the Leprechaun has a pot of gold hiding at the end of the rainbow.
- Leprechauns are typically wearing green suits, jackets and tall green hats. They are usually small men with beards.
I have read stories of people in Ireland who truly do believe in Leprechauns and you can even take a Leprechaun tour if you are visiting certain areas of Ireland. If you want a more formal education then visit the National Leprechaun Museum of Ireland in the heart of Dublin.
