Wasting time is something I worry about. I think it is common for people to try and use their time wisely and make the most of it! As a mother I work to keep up with all my responsibilites….my kids, work, the house, the hubby…it is a lot to do!
I don't take a lot of time for myself and when I do….I sometimes feel guilty…like maybe I am wasting time doing something for me when I have a whole list of things I need to do for other people! Am I alone in this line of thought?
Wasting Time Quote Eases Mommy Guilt
When I read this quote about wasting time….I thought it was really profound! I had never thought of my activities like this before! If I am enjoying the activity then it really isn't wasted time, is it?
There are so many hobbies, sports, recreational activities that people are involved in. I don't get why people do certain things…I wouldn't find any enjoyment in a lot of those activities…so to me it would be wasting time! BUT…if that person is enjoying it, then their time was well spent!
For instance…my husband would probably never take a long hot bubble bath. To him that would be wasting time….to me it is a little break from my day and a chance to relax and maybe read a little bit in peace! It is not wasting time for me to relax for 15 minutes and I realize that now!
So…this quote was a revelation for me that I haven't been wasting time all these years….I have just been enjoying the life I was given! I just need to schedule a little more time doing things I enjoy!

So true! Have to stop beating myself up over this very thing.
I consider it relaxation and regrouping time.
The quote really makes me think. I have felt guilty in the past for spending time relaxing until some times I would not take the time to do it. I realized thought that it was time that I needed to unplug from my roles in life. I love sitting down sipping some tea, taking a long bubble bath, & listening to calming music. These are a must in my schedule because I need them mentally and physically. Now I can say, I enjoy wasting my time in these moments. Thanks for sharing 🙂
I agree!!
Oh this quote totally nails it! Definitely a different way to look at things… I like it 🙂
I love this quote! It’s so true – it’s easy to beat yourself up but it’s so important to take time to relax!
I love this quote. Time is so precious and it just seems like we never have enough of it. I think it’s time we stop feeling guilty over the things we spend out time on. It’s a difficult thing to do but completely necessary because otherwise, we’ll always feel guilty. If we get to 40% of what we want to do for the day planned, I’d say it was an accomplishment. 🙂
My hubby and I have a different opinion of what wasted time is. He thinks it’s reading books and blogging. I think it’s watching television. Yet, that’s how we individually relax, so I agree that it’s not wasted time as long as these activities are done in moderation.
Definitely a nice quote. It is like that sometimes)
I used to. It took me a long time to be okay with it. I wish I had lost the guilt sooner!
I just wrote my blog post about this today! I love to soak in my tub or read a book! And I do feel guilty at times but moms need that little break to refresh ourselves.
So true Ashley!
I think it is important to remember to relax and rejuvenate. We get so busy.
