These Weight Watchers 2 Ingredient Bagels with Jalapenos are a winner for me. You know that I love to add SPICE to my recipes. I love 2 ingredient bagels, but wanted to create a spicier version! I think this will become a newly loved Weight Watchers recipe for you too!!

Weight Watchers 2 Ingredient Bagels with Jalapenos
I know a lot of websites have the recipe for 2 ingredient bagels…but I found it over at Slap Dash Mom and used her version. She has some great WW recipes too!
If you love jalapenos as I do then this is the recipe for you.

Ingredients Needed for Weight Watchers 2 Ingredient Bagels with Jalapenos
Technically this recipe calls for 3 ingredients, LOL. The basic bagel recipe is two ingredients, and then we add the heat!! I didn't want to confuse anyone by calling these 3 ingredient bagels…but I felt like I should mention that I do realize there are three ingredients if you want spicy bagels!! 😆
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
- 2-4 Tbsp diced jalapenos
(depending on how much heat you prefer)

How to Make Weight Watchers 2 Ingredient Bagels
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
I stirred the self-rising flour and the nonfat Greek yogurt in a bowl to mix it together.
Next, it is time to flour the cutting board. I put the mixture onto the cutting board and kneaded it. Let me emphasize something here….I read that this dough was sticky…that is an UNDERSTATEMENT. 🙂 It is VERY sticky, and putting flour on your surface is non-negotiable!! No worries though…it is worth it.

Once I had the dough mixed well, I put it back in the bowl and added my jalapenos. I just used a jar of already diced jalapenos. Three tablespoons of jalapenos were perfect for me. I added the peppers to my dough and stirred it to disperse the peppers into the dough.

I added more flour to my cutting board and put the dough on it. There are different ways to do this….but I will share how I did it. I just tore the dough into six piles that looked about the same size. Then using my hands, I rolled each pile into a log. You can see what they looked like in my picture.

I sprayed a baking stone with nonstick cooking spray and then just made a circle with my dough logs.

I put some fat-free shredded cheddar cheese on some of the bagels and brushed some egg wash on the others.
Mine baked for about 25 minutes. Some people go for 20 minutes, and some closer to 30 minutes. You know your oven.
How Do They Taste
I am not a big fan of yogurt or Greek yogurt. I don't feel like these taste like yogurt, although they have a tiny tang. The spicy flavor from the jalapenos was wonderful and will make a great “sandwich.” These will be made a lot in the future, and I may do two batches at once to save time.
If you make six bagels with the dough, they come out to be 2 Freestyle SmartPoints each. If you want a larger bagel and make 4, then they are 3 Freestyle SmartPoints each.
On the current Weight Watchers Program (2023), it is 2 points per serving if you make 6 bagels.

Must Have's For Bagel Making
A lot of people use a doughnut pan to make their bagels. I didn't have one but I am planning to get one.
I am glad I did this process on a cutting board, not my counter. The sticky dough would have been a chore to clean off the counter. It was much easier to clean my cutting board in the sink.
Let me know how they turn out for you!! Be sure to check out some other awesome WW recipes HERE.

Hi, Jamie. You use the plain yogurt, correct? Not the vanilla flavor? Thanks!
Yes I used the plain. Thanks for reading Kelly!
What can you add if you don’t like Jalapenos?
You can leave the out totally if you’d like and they are still good! You could add a little cheese…maybe chives or green chilies would taste good.
You’ve got a solid recipe here but you aren’t counting points correctly. You need to add the additional flour you use while kneading. I had to use about 2/3 cup additional flour in total. It brought the points up to 4. I also added an egg for extra rise, no additional points there! Anyway like I said, super yummy but not accurate
Hi Rainey….the points in this base recipe are accurate. Yes…if a person adds a substantial amount of flour that needs to be counted…but I don’t have any way of knowing how much extra flour someone will use so that is why I list the points for the base recipe. Plus I make this in my stand mixer now and don’t end up needing much extra flour at all.
Traditional bagels are boiled and then baked to give them that bagel texture. Can these be cooked in the same way?
Hi Lisa, I doubt it…I have not heard of anyone trying it that way. The 2 ingredient dough bagels are not exactly the same as a traditional bagel..but also don’t have as many points, LOL. If you try it let me know how it works for you!
In a pan with slowly boiling water drop in carefully one minute first side and 30 seconds on flip side. This way they become fluffy. Then bake at 450 for 20 minutes.
My dough came out very sticky and could not form the roll to even make the bagel shape. Am I doing something wrong?
Stickiness is the hardest part of this recipe…it is what everyone complains about, lol. You may need to add more flour…
I use my kitchen aid mixer with the dough hook. I never have to add extra flour. I spray my board with cooking spray. Never had a problem with this.
Can these be frozen after baking?
So yummy and HOT! We loved them and will be making these again!
So glad!
I am interested in this recipe and new to WW. Does it make six mini bagels or siz regular size bagels?
They aren’t mini bagels, but may be smaller than a regular bagel. You can make them whatever size you prefer, just adjust baking time as needed.
