We just had daylight savings and guess what that brings….shorter days! 😥 I am going to be honest and say that I prefer longer days. A shorter day means that I have to make the most of every minute of daylight I have. Sometimes this causes me to overdo things and my sleep will be affected. Find out how I combat my aches and pains so I can get a good night's rest. Some nights I even make a banana cherry vanilla smoothie to help too!

Tips for a Good Night's Rest
This time of year there are several activities that cause me to have minor aches and pains. The big one is raking leaves and doing fall yard work. I get a little too gung-ho and try to do it all in one day, LOL.
Inevitably this will cause me to lose sleep because I am achy and sore in the night. I just don't have time to be sleep-deprived. A good night's sleep is so important to my physical and emotional well-being. I know that I won't get nearly as much accomplished during my shorter days if I am tired from sleepless nights due to aches and pains!
Decorating for the holidays is also a source of aches and pains for me. I spend a lot of time going up and down a ladder, crawling around a big Christmas tree and more to get our home ready for the holidays. If I am not proactive I know I will be even more achy the next day and the fatigue from not sleeping well will affect me for days to come.

Try a Smoothie Before Bed
Another way to get my body relaxed and ready for a good night's rest is to drink a smoothie in the evening. During the day I may make a Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie….but at night it will definitely be a Banana Cherry Vanilla Smoothie for me! There are certain foods that are known to naturally contain substances that can promote sleep.
Three of these foods are bananas, cherries and honey. I know that drinking a Banana Cherry Vanilla Smoothie before bed will lead me to a more relaxed state than eating a big bowl of popcorn!

This smoothie looks wonderful! We moved into a new home just about a month ago and I’m still feeling aches and pains from the move. We’ve had boxes everywhere forever and I’ve been working from room to room to get through them before the holidays. #client
