HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT
If you use a flexible spending account then you know how great it can be. The problem comes when you realize you haven't used the money you set aside and the end of the year is drawing near.
Many people don't understand all of the items that can be purchased using their FSA funds. The best way to get the most out of your flexible spending account is to have a full understanding of the benefits!
FSAstore.com Takes the Guesswork Away
The FSAstore.com is everything flex spending so you don't have to guess whether or not an item is eligible. It is also the largest online marketplace for guaranteed FSA-eligible products! WOOT WOOT!
I love knowing that I don't have to stop and research whether an item is approved. Anything I order is going to be FSA-eligible!! Seriously, they have a guarantee.
FSAstore.com is also a wonderful educational resource–and it is a resource you can actually understand, LOL. Everything on the site is clearly marked while their Learning Center offers tips, decodes healthcare terms, etc.Â
The actual mission of the FSAstore.com is to help millions of flexible spending account holders manage and use their FSAs and save on more than 4,000 health items using tax-free money.
FSAstore.com Saves Me Money
Using an FSA automatically saves me money because I am able to spend tax-free health money. I am able to save even more money by shopping at FSAstore.com.
They offer free shipping on orders over $50. They also have an amazing selection of products that my family needs and uses.
I can use my FSA card and skip the whole claims process….which we all know is complicated and time-consuming. Time is money for me!
My Favorite FSAstore.com Purchases
As a busy mom there are items I purchase every year that are actually FSA-eligible. I wish I had known this years ago!!
Some of my favorite purchases from FSAstore.com are sun care, pain relief, hi-tech health and travel essentials.
My family goes through a lot of sunscreen every summer. We have some family members who burn just thinking about the sun, LOL. As long as the sunscreen has an SPF of 15+ and is board spectrum it is an FSA-eligible item.
I have some health issues that cause me pain and I have been delighted to find some pain relief from items at FSAstore.com. They have TENS units and heating pads that are awesome for pain relief at home. Yep…these are FSA-eligible items too!
Every mom needs to have a good quality thermometer on hand for those times when a child gets sick. Let's face it…we need more than one thermometer because they do seem to disappear! Thermometers are FSA-eligible items and the FSAstore has a great selection.
I am so glad that some travel essentials are covered by FSA dollars. We travel quite a bit and neck pillows and motion sickness bands have saved my hide on many occasions!
FSAstore Learning Center
FSAstore.com is more than just a website that sells FSA-eligible items. They also have a great learning center.
There are some easy to read articles about flexible spending accounts and living well. I learned a lot just by reading a few articles. It makes me happy to know that this is a company that cares enough to educate their clients!

So I had never heard of an FSA… Is this a USA thing? You’re in Kansas right?
Yes I am in Kansas. Some employers offer Flexible Spending Accounts and others do Health Savings Accounts. They are similar but do have some differences.
We use an HSA, and it helps a ton. I didn’t know much about the FSA, though. Can you use both?
The FSAstore is just a place you can buy items that are covered by your flexible spending account…I believe that a health savings account also qualifies!
Knowing the facts is the key! Once we know the how-to’s, it is so much easier to make wiser decisions.
We upped ours this year and it’s already gone! We are going to up it again next year.
Thank goodness for a service like FSAstore.com. A service that can answer all your questions is a good one to have.
I have never really looked into FSAs until I was searching for insurance for my husband and I to work from home!
Sounds like something I should look more in too. I never really knew a whole lot about them. I’m sure I could benefit from this though.
Thanks for this. I have never heard of an FSA store. It’s great an FSA card exists to save money on health and travel essentials!
I am going to keep this in mind. We always use up all of our FSA but if we don’t, I know there are tons of things I could stock up on.
My daughter and I were just talking about this the other day. She will appreciate your article to get the most out of her FSA.
Thanks for sharing your tips. I don’t have a FSA but I like the idea of how it works.
Thanks for all these tips and info about FSA! Especially for the tips of saving some money!
This is really awesome! I’d definitely check out their website. Thanks for sharing!
I don’t have one of these accounts anymore but when I did I loved having it!
These are very helpful tips to follow. I’ve learned many things from here. This is definitely an interesting post.
Thanks for sharing this great info! I’ll def have to check it out further!
We are going to open an FSA this year since my kids will need braces. Thanks for the great info!
