WHAT IS TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK?
Every year, throughout the United States, educational facilities and schools observe Teacher Appreciation Week in order to acknowledge and express admiration for the valuable hard work and dedication of educators.
National Teacher's Day, which falls on the Tuesday of that week, is the focal point of the first full week of May. Students, parents, and coworkers gather during this week in recognition of the positive effects that teachers have had on their daily lives and the local neighborhoods in which they reside.
The week usually includes a variety of things to do and occasions, including giving presents, letters of gratitude, handing out heartfelt notes, and award ceremonies. It was Eleanor Roosevelt who fully convinced Congress to dedicate and set aside an entire week in 1953 to celebrate educators, which is when Teacher Appreciation Week got its starting point.
In an effort to advocate for and acknowledge teachers across the country, the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) established Teacher Appreciation Week in 1985. Since teachers frequently go far above and beyond to make sure that their pupils are given an excellent educational experience, appreciation week for teachers acts as an opportunity to remind us of their constant efforts and commitment.
They put in endless hours of preparing lessons, marking papers, and giving each student the attention they require. Teachers encourage pupils to build the talents and expertise required for success both within as well as outside of the educational environment by serving as mentors and role models.
The annual Teacher Appreciation celebration offers a chance for all people to show their love for these hard-working people and offer recognition for what they do. Each attempt made to celebrate the diligent work that educators put in goes a long way.
Like, in building their morale and motivating them to keep implementing a positive impact in the daily lives of the pupils they teach. Whether through a straightforward thank you note, a considerate gift, or another type of kind act.
HOW DO YOU MAKE A TEACHER FEEL SPECIAL?
One thing is for sure, making your teacher feel special does not take much. Giving gifts and a personal note is a thoughtful way. However, as long as they see the kids learning from them, that is more than enough.
But, of course, we can still give back and make them feel like an extra special teacher. There are numerous ways to show a teacher that they are valued and special. Here are a few quick and impactful ways to express your gratefulness:
1. Prepare a special message for them
Tell your teacher how highly you value their efforts and the positive influence they have made on your everyday life. In the message you convey, be sincere and thorough. Receiving a heartfelt message is always a nice feeling.
2. Give a thoughtful gift
A little present will go a long way in expressing your appreciation to someone. Think about an area that relates to your educator's interests or hobbies personally. This is a great option to let them know that you care about them too.
3. Reminisce
Share an instance when a particular instructor changed your life or assisted you in achieving a goal. The most powerful method to convey admiration is to share something good that happened. Write stuff like this on these free printables.
4. Celebrate with them
Participate in any teacher appreciation celebrations or programs that your educational institution or community hosts. Don't wait til the end of the school year to give your fave teacher cards. Be part of the event and show that you support them too. Setting aside time for that will be a huge thing for teachers.
5. Be an engaged and enthusiastic student
Being involved in class and displaying an enthusiastic disposition is going to demonstrate to your teacher that you are dedicated to gaining knowledge and value the work they do.

Making this is pretty simple. What's exciting about it is that the whole class will be participating in making this awesome gift! The kids will be so thrilled doing this since they will be placing their fingerprints. This will bring out the creative side of the kids.
