10 Ways a Pressure Cooker Will Make Your Life Easier
A Pressure Cooker Saves Time
Saving time in the kitchen is one of my biggest goals and the fact is that the electric pressure cooker saves time. It cooks in about a third of the time it would take normally. It cooks food fast because of the way the appliance is designed. I love saving time cooking!!
A Pressure Cooker Doesn't Heat Up My House
I love that this device cooks fast and doesn't heat up my house like the oven does. It also doesn't have to stay plugged into the electricity all day like the slow cooker!
You Can Cook a Whole Meal in the Pressure Cooker
My pressure cooker has racks at different levels so I can cook meat and veggies at the same time and they all turn out amazing! This saves me clean up from not having more dirty pots and pans!
Great for Busy Days
I always have great intentions for my meal planning each week….but my intentions don't always translate into action. By mid-week I am tired and my intentions fly right out the window, LOL! I may have planned to get something into the crock pot…but don't get up early enough to do it. The speed of the pressure cooker takes some stress off me on those days when I am busy and not as organized as I would like to be.
Makes Meat Tender so You Save Money
I love how tender my meat comes out when cooked in the pressure cooker. This really gives me a lot of wiggle room in what cuts of meat I am able to purchase!! I can get cheaper cuts of meat because I know that they will still come out really tender and delicious.
There are Health Benefits
The cooking process of the pressure cooker causes nutrients to be kept INSIDE the food. Many other ways of cooking…many nutrients are lost. I love knowing we are getting a little more nutrition from our foods…especially our veggies. This Broccoli Cheese Soup is loaded with nutrients.
The Pressure Cooker Infuses Flavors
We have been excited by how flavor infused our foods are in the pressure cooker. We made Spaghetti and Meatballs in the Pressure Cooker and the meatballs were amazing (and they were store-bought frozen meatballs, lol). They just sucked up the sauce and it was infused full of yumminess!!
You Can Cook Frozen Foods Fast
I think you can already tell that I am not always on top of my game. I don't always remember to set meat out to thaw. It really doesn't matter with the pressure cooker. I can cook frozen meats without problem and it doesn't add very much cook time.
Set It and Forget It
When I am cooking on the stove top I have to be RIGHT THERE. I have failed miserably at trying to multitask many times. Pots boil over, things burn…but I don't have this concern when my food is cooking in the pressure cooker. I can go vacuum the house or even sit down and read a book (yeah, right, lol) and my food is safe and cooking without me watching over it.
The Pressure Cooker is a Versatile Machine
My Power Pressure Cooker XL has a lot of versatility. This machine can be used as a rice cooker and a slow cooker. I can use it to can foods. There are endless ways to use this machine. That really does cut down on having extra appliances taking up space in my pantry.
These are my favorite ways a pressure cooker makes my life easier. If you have a pressure cooker, what are your favorite features? If not…what are you waiting for?? Be sure to check out my section of Pressure Cooker Recipes!
