This 5 Minute Handmade Graduation Card will show you that card making and giving can be quick and easy. Sending cards is a great way to show you care and it doesn't have to be difficult.
5 MINUTE HANDMADE GRADUATION CARD
I received my June ScrapbookingStore.com monthly kit recently (a big thanks to ScrapbookingStore.com for sponsoring this post and providing me with the kit free of charge!) and it is one of my absolute favorites from them!
The kit has a definite travel theme and travel scrapbooking is definitely something I enjoy creating. While I was perusing the kit I realized that some of the travel-themed quotes and sayings fit perfectly with graduation!
I have been kind of behind with getting all my graduation cards sent out due to my broken ankle last month so graduation is still on my mind!
THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX
Many people would like at this scrapbooking kit and think…it is ONLY for travel layouts. This is a way of thinking that will end up costing you a lot of unnecessary money.
This kit is filled with a lot of navy blue themes and works great for many projects. I can see using some of the paper for 4th of July layouts or Father's Day cards.
Being open to using themed paper for a different project is an awesome way to use what you have and not waste supplies.
A STAMPLESS CARD
I am going to admit something here….I don't like stamping. Yep, a scrapbooker who doesn't stamp. Yes, I do own stamps, in case I ever decide I want to be a stamper, but for now, NO.
I see SO many beautiful handmade cards, but they usually have been stamped and colored. There are other techniques for card-making that DO NOT INVOLVE STAMPS, but still look beautiful.
I think this 5-minute handmade graduation card shows you have quick and easy card making really can be. The finished project looks great and it literally only took me minutes to do.

- White Card/Envelope

- Authentique Quest Five Cardstock Paper
- AC Embellishments Fabric Flowers
HOW TO MAKE A 5 MINUTE HANDMADE GRADUATION CARD
There are lots of pieces of paper in the kit to choose from that will look great for this card.
STEP ONE: CUT PAPER
I cut the denim paper to 3 inches by 4 inches and adhered it to the right side of the card front about center.
Then I cut a strip of the Quest Five paper that is 3/4 inches wide. I took that strip and cut it down into 2 pieces. One was 3.5 inches long and the other was almost 4 inches long.
I cut the end of each strip so that it looks like the end of a banner.
Since it was double-sided cardstock I used each side and adhered them next to each other across the denim rectangle.
STEP TWO: GRAB ELEMENTS
Now I went to the Quest elements sheet and punched out the banner that says: Don't Wait for the Perfect Moment, Take the Moment and Make it Perfect.
I adhered that vertically on the rectangle paper.
I knew that I needed a little embellishment and when I saw the fabric flowers I thought maybe one of those would look good. Unfortunately, they were too big for this sized card. As I was sitting there looking at the flower I realized the pearl center was PERFECT for this card.
So…off it came! I used a glue dot to adhere it under the banner. PERFECTION!
A PERSONAL CARD
That was all it took for me to make a handmade personal card to send to a graduate. I can write a nice message inside and of course, include some money or a gift card!
