You may have heard me mention that I really love my NuWave Oven. One thing that I cook in my NuWave Oven a lot is bacon. I think some people are intimidated with what to cook in their NuWave Oven and you shouldn't be!! I am going to show you how to cook bacon in the NuWave Oven and it is simple!!
Why Cook Bacon in the Nuwave Oven
There are lots of ways to cook bacon, but my favorite way is to cook bacon in the NuWave Oven. The bacon turns out crispy and all the grease is able to drip down away from the bacon. I am a very picky meat eater and just can't stomach meat that is fatty. I am able to cook my bacon so that I don't even notice that it contains fat, LOL. It is crisped to perfection!!
How to Cook Bacon in the NuWave Oven
To cook bacon in the NuWave Oven you will be using your tall rack. You can spray it with cooking spray if you want, but honestly…I never do.
Lay out each slice of bacon individually on the rack. I cover the rack and if some of the bacon hangs over the side it is fine.
Place the top on and cook for 6-7 minutes.
Flip bacon over and cook an additional 6-7 minutes.
Cooking bacon in the NuWave Oven is somewhat based on your personal preferences. Some people may like their bacon extra crispy, others don't like it that crispy. You can adjust your cooking time based on your family's likes. The important thing is to TURN the bacon over halfway through.
