WHAT IS BAKED OATMEAL?
Oatmeal is a very standard breakfast food. It is eaten all over the world and is loved because it is inexpensive, filling and is great for digestive health.
Baked oatmeal is taking basic oatmeal and making it into a kind of breakfast casserole by adding other ingredients.
The mixture is baked in the oven and it usually results in a delicious breakfast or brunch dish.

INGREDIENTS FOR PUMPKIN PIE BAKED OATMEAL
One of my favorite parts of this pumpkin pie baked oatmeal is the streusel topping! It is so good.
The ingredients needed for the oatmeal are:
- Pumpkin puree
- Brown sugar
- Eggs
- Pumpkin pie spice
- Baking powder
- Cinnamon
- Vanilla extract
- Salt
- Milk
- Quick-cooking oats
The ingredients needed for the topping are:
- Apples, peeled and diced
- Flour
- Brown sugar
- Salt
- Cinnamon
- Butter, melted

HOW TO MAKE PUMPKIN PIE BAKED OATMEAL
Baked oatmeal is so warming and filling. It also makes a great mid-morning snack.

STEP ONE: MIX INGREDIENTS
Start off by preheating the oven to 350°F. Get a 9-inch round baking dish prepared by spraying it with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract and salt. Whisk the ingredients together to mix.

STEP TWO: ADD MILK
Now it is time to add the milk to the bowl of ingredients.
Whisk the milk in until well-combined.
STEP THREE: ADD OATS
Add the oats to the bowl of ingredients and stir them in.

STEP FOUR: MAKE TOPPING
To make the streusel topping, combine apples, flour, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon in a medium mixing bowl.
Stir to mix the topping ingredients well.
Pour the melted butter into the bowl and stir to combine.

STEP FIVE: PLACE IN BAKING DISH
First pour the oat mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth it out evenly.
Next sprinkle streusel mixture all over the oatmeal mixture.

STEP SIX: BAKE
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake uncovered for 45 minutes. When the cooking time is done remove the dish from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
