This cranberry bread recipe uses fresh cranberries.

INGREDIENTS IN LEMON CRANBERRY BREAD
This homemade lemon cranberry bread has basic ingredients. There is nothing better than the smell of sweet bread baking in the house!
- Salted butter, softened
- Granulated sugar
- Eggs, beaten
- Lemon zest
- Self-rising flour sifted
- Ground almonds
- Lemon juice, or juice of one lemon
- Fresh cranberries
- Topping: Lemon juice (or juice of 2 lemons) and Powdered sugar

HOW TO MAKE CRANBERRY LEMON BREAD
It is easy to double or triple this lemon cranberry bread recipe if you want to make several loaves.
These can be wrapped in colored plastic wrap and tied with a bow for an easy gift for a friend, coworker, or neighbor.
STEP ONE: CREAM INGREDIENTS
Start off by preheating the oven to 350° F. Spray your loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Using a mixer, cream together the butter and sugar. Then add in the beaten eggs.
Lastly, add in the lemon zest.

STEP TWO: ADD DRY INGREDIENTS
Now fold in the flour and ground almonds.
Go ahead and stir in the lemon juice and cranberries.

STEP THREE: ADD TO PAN
Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle a few extra cranberries over the top of the batter.

STEP FOUR: BAKE
Bake the bread for one hour, checking for doneness with a toothpick. The bread should be nice and golden brown when it is done.

STEP FIVE: GLAZE
My favorite part of sweet bread is the glaze!
To make the glaze mix the lemon juice and powdered sugar together.
Add additional lemon juice if a thinner glaze is desired.
Drizzle the glaze over the bread once it is done baking.
Cut into 8 slices and then cut each slice into 6 bars, which makes the perfect size for serving on a dessert tray or cookie platter.
