Need a quick grab and go snack or breakfast idea? These crunchy energy balls are PERFECT. The best part is this recipe only uses 3 ingredients. I had all three ingredients on hand and was able to whip these up in minutes.
Ingredients Needed for Crunchy Energy Balls
3 cups Post Cereals Raisin Bran cereal (keep one cup of the bran flakes to the side)
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup honey
How to Make Crunchy Energy Balls
First take 2 cups of Post Cereals Raisin Bran cereal and place it inside a plastic zippered bag. Use a rolling-pin and crush the bran flakes….don't mind the raisins…they will be fine!
Now place the crushed cereal/raisins, peanut butter and honey into a mixing bowl.
Mix on medium speed until well blended. Refrigerate this mixture for 30 minutes to an hour to make rolling into balls easier.
Roll the mixture into small balls about 1 teaspoon each.
Take your last cup of Post Cereals Raisin Bran flakes only and crush those.
Roll each ball around in the crushed flakes and ENJOY!
Store any extra Crunchy Energy Balls covered in the refrigerator.
Breakfast is a Priority
Do you love using what is already in your cupboards for recipes? That is one reason I love this Crunchy Energy Balls recipe so much…..I didn't have to buy any special ingredients. We were stocked up on cereal during my last run to Walmart. I knew the concept I was trying for and when I saw the Post Cereals Raisin Bran on my bar…I knew it would be the perfect binding for this recipe. The plump, juicy raisins bring such a great flavor to these balls!
Breakfast has always been an important meal for me, but I am working hard to make it a priority for my WHOLE family. One way to promote breakfast to my family is by keeping it in front of their faces…literally!! I will just sit our boxes of cereal on the counter so they can't miss it in the morning, LOL!
Some of our favorites are Post Cereals Raisin Bran, Post Cereals Honey Bunches of Oats Honey Roasted and Post Cereals Great Grains. These are all packed with whole grains and fiber!

I have been putting off making protein or energy balls because I am afraid I would eat them all even before they get a chance to be placed inside a jar. I will make these crunchy energy balls and do my best to save some for later. 🙂
