Spring rolls and egg rolls can be confusing since they look the same and both taste delicious in their own ways. But, once you know the difference between the two you can easily tell which is which. Here is a list of their differences:
Spring rolls are made with thin ones like rice wrappers or thin flour-made wrappers. On the other hand, egg rolls are usually wrapped in a thicker one. Also, egg roll wrappers are dipped in egg wash for a crispier exterior.
Spring rolls are usually filled with fresh vegetables which are mixed with uncooked meat or seafood. And in egg rolls, the fillings are always cooked with a lot of seasonings since the wrappers are thicker.
The outer layer of egg rolls is much more bubbly and crispy because they are typically fried or deep-fried. Meanwhile, spring rolls can either be baked, fried, or in some cases not cooked at all (apart from the filling).
