Air Fryer Carrot Chips are a nutritious and delicious snack. This delightful and easy air fryer recipe is perfect for anyone trying to eat more vegetables or wanting a low-calorie snack. If you are following the WW program this is a great Weight Watchers recipe.
WILL CARROTS BE CRISPY IN THE AIR FRYER?
The air fryer is a great tool to make foods crispier. It isn't magic though and not everything will turn out the same as if it had been deep fat fried.
When I made air fryer carrot chips they turned out great. They weren't the crunchiest food I have ever eaten, but the result was lightly crisp and very good.
The key is getting a crispy result is to use some olive oil or avocado oil. If you don't add any oil at all you will not end up with crispy carrots.
My favorite oil is Pam Spray Pump Olive Oil and Pam Spray Pump Avocado Oil.
HOW TO SEASON CARROT CHIPS
There are endless ways you can season your air fryer carrot chips.
My favorite seasoning right now is SEASONED SALT. It is one bottle of flavor.
I don't have to get a bunch of spice containers out…I just grab the seasoned salt, sprinkle some on the food and boom. FLAVOR.
Another flavor that tastes great on carrots is Cajun seasoning. My favorite Cajun seasoning brand is Slap Ya Mama. I have tried a bunch of different brands too..and always go back to this one!
The bottom line is just experimenting with different seasoning combinations will result in a lot of new favorites.
HOW DO YOU CUT CARROT CHIPS?
I am not going to lie to you here. The grocery store sells bags of carrot chips that are already cut and I buy those.
If you have read my blog for very long you know that I LOVE shortcuts in the kitchen.
BUT if you want to cut your own carrot chips that is awesome.
I would advise you to peel the carrots and cut them into uniform slices that are the same thickness. I would make them as thin as you can for quicker cooking.
It always fun to use a crinkle cutting tool when you cut veggies so they have that wavy look.

INGREDIENTS FOR AIR FRYER CARROT CHIPS
How about a recipe with only 3 ingredients? Easy is always best!
- Carrots
- Seasoned Salt
- Olive Oil Spray (non-aerosol)
HOW TO MAKE CARROT CHIPS IN THE AIR FRYER
Remember that every air fryer is different and cook times can vary a lot. There is also a personal preference about how done you like your food. I like my veggies REALLY done!
STEP ONE: CUT CARROTS
If you didn't buy precut carrots then start off by washing, peeling, and cutting the carrots.
It is important to try and cut the carrots the same thickness for consistent cooking.
STEP TWO: SEASON CARROTS
Put the carrots into a bowl and lightly spray them with olive oil spray.
I prefer to use the non-aerosol olive or avocado oil spray. You will use a LOT less oil then you would adding it by the tablespoon.
Sprinkle the season salt and toss to coat the carrots evenly.
STEP THREE: AIR FRY
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil.
Add the carrot chips in an even layer. Try not to overcrowd the basket so the carrots cook more evenly.
You may have to cook the carrots in batches depending on how big your air fryer is.
Air fry at 390°F for 6 minutes and then shake the basket. Spray a little more olive oil spray if desired. Continue cooking for an additional 3-6 minutes depending on how done you like your carrots.
Cook until they reach your desired level of crispiness.
Serve hot.

I love all the recipes I have seen on and that I got on my email I would love the cookbooks but only if they are free we are going through hard times right right now and living on only my husband’s SSI check and sometimes the bills don’t get paid on time or I don’t get my medication that month most of the time we don’t even get to buy grocery’’s due to the fact that we live check to check and as I said it doesn’t cover everything so if the cookbooks are free I would love to have them if not I will have to pass we have other more important things that we need
Hi Jill, unfortunately, the cookbooks are not free. It is too costly to give them away. Take care.
