Smoked Sausage and Potato Casserole in the Slow Cooker

Smoked Sausage and Potato Casserole only takes a few hours to cook on high in your crock pot.  This is a perfect meal to throw together on Sunday mornings before church…it will be ready when you get home for lunch!  I adapted this recipe from one I found at Lauren's Latest!

How to Make Smoked Sausage and Potato Casserole

In a small bowl mix your cream of chicken soup, water and onion powder together by hand and set aside.

Dice your smoked sausage up into small pieces.

Lightly grease your slow cooker with cooking spray.

Place your hash browns, smoked sausage and cheese into the slow cooker.  Pour the soup mixture over the other ingredients and stir it all together.  Here is a picture of what it looks like before cooking!

Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook  on high for about 2.5 to 3 hours or until the potatoes are soft and the smoked sausage is hot.

If you like real onions (which if you read my blog….you know that I do not love them…rather I loath them…) you can use a small diced onion instead of onion powder!  🙂

I served this with some buttered biscuits and it really hit the spot on a cold, dreary evening!
