3 Ingredient Pulled Pork3 ingredient pulled pork is a recipe so simple that anyone can make it.  It is the perfect meat for large gatherings because you put it in your slow cooker and forget about it!

I have loved eating pulled pork sandwiches for years and whenever we have large family get togethers…someone usually brings pulled pork.  It is such an easy meat to prepare in advance and it travels so well in the crock pot!

One thing I like about this simple recipe is that it has a mild flavor to it.  I like to dress up my meat to my own liking….so I like to make my pulled pork kind of simple so if you want to add a lot of barbecue sauce or other condiments…you can!

I don't even remember where I got the recipe or idea for this pulled pork….years ago I remember reading that you could cook meats in a can of Coke.  We are bigger fans of Root Beer at our house…so I must have just taken that suggestion and run with it….right into Root Beer, LOL!3 ingredient Pulled Pork

How to Make 3 Ingredient Pulled Pork

Take a 3-4 pound boneless pork loin and put it into your slow cooker.

Sprinkle around 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of garlic salt on top of the pork loin.

Pour 8 oz of Root Beer on top of the pork loin.  Add an additional 1/4 cup of water to the slow cooker.

Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours or until the meat is cooked thoroughly and shreds easily.  You may want to turn the pork loin over mid-way through cooking because the liquid doesn't cover the whole loin.  This just helps the whole loin to get marinated in the wonderful root beer mixture!

Once the meat is cooked, shred it with a fork.  You can drain off the excess liquid or keep some with the meat to help it stay moist.

Serve the 3 Ingredient Pulled Pork on buns, bread, tortillas or just eat on its own!

  1. I have left over pork roast that I wanted to use for barbecue sandwiches. Would it have flavor if I reheated with these ingredients. If yes, how long to just reheat it on low
