I love coming up with new meal ideas for my family. I also love BOLD flavors! I was excited to see Jack Link's Wild Side Sausages on a recent Walmart run! I grabbed a couple of packages and came up with a yummy new meal, Spicy Sausage Tortellini Bake! My family gave this a thumbs up for the unique and bold flavor of the sausage and I gave it a thumbs up for a quick, easy and filling meal!
Ingredients Needed to Make a Spicy Sausage Tortellini Bake
1 package of Jack Link's Wild Side Sausages Jalapeno Flavor
20 oz package of cheese filled tortellini (fresh or frozen)
10 oz can of red, mild enchilada sauce
15 oz can of fiesta corn
10 oz can of diced tomatoes and green chilies
2 cups shredded Mexican style cheese
When I was doing my shopping at Walmart I saw the Jack Link's Wild Side Sausages in the refrigerated meat and cheese area. I love how the Jack Link's Wild Side Sausage comes fully cooked, has no added MSG or fillers, is high in protein and is made with high quality cuts of pork and beef! I use these sausages in recipes, but they are also delicious to just heat and eat! It is also a great deal at Walmart right now through Memorial Day…only $3.48 per package on Rollback pricing!
How to Make a Spicy Sausage Tortellini Bake
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
First you need to cook your tortellini according to the package directions. I used fresh tortellini so it didn't take long to cook them. Be sure not to overcook the tortellini or they will be too squishy!
Next you will take your Jack Link's Wild Side Sausage Jalapeno Flavor and cut them into thin slices. I cut mine about 1/2 inch thick. If you have young children who don't appreciate the BOLD flavor of the Jalapeno you can always use the Jack Link's Wild Side Sausage Original or Cheddar! I personally LOVE the unique flavor of the Jack Link's Wild Side Sausage Jalapeno Flavor for this dish!
In a large bowl you will combine your tortellini, enchilada sauce, corn, diced tomatoes and green chilies and your sliced sausage. Stir this mixture up until well combined.
Pour the mixture into a 9 x 13 baking pan. Top with your shredded cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
That is all it takes to create a bold and unique dinner for your family! Have you tried Jack Link's Wild Side Sausages before? If not you should check them out next time you are at Walmart and bring a little BOLD into your life!! Be sure to get the recipes for some more great family friendly meals right HERE!
