HOW TO MAKE BAKED BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Now that you have gathered all of your ingredients, it is time to make this yummy recipe. Follow the instructions below for the best results!

STEP ONE: COOK SAUSAGE

Grab your ingedrients and start with cooking your ground sausage until they are brown. Make sure to drain excess oil from the sausage.

STEP TWO: PREP BREAD AND EGG

Once you are done with the sausage, start tearing up the bread into bite size pieces. After that, get the eggs and a large mixing bowl to beat the eggs in. Pour in the milk then toss in some salt and dried mustard into the mixture.

STEP THREE: PUTTING THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER

Get a baking dish and layer the bread pieces on the bottom.

Pour egg mixture into the pan with the rest of the ingredients.

Cover and place in refrigerator for about 7 to 8 hours or overnight before baking.

STEP FOUR: BAKE THE CASSEROLE

​Take out of the refrigerator and cover with foil when you’re ready to cook. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, bake without the foil for an additional 15 minutes.

STEP FIVE: SERVE

Ingredients
  • 1 pound sausage cooked and drained
  • 8-10 slices bread
  • 8 eggs beaten
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon dried mustard
Instructions
  1. Brown your ground sausage and drain off any excess grease.
  2. Tear bread into small pieces and layer in the bottom of a greased 9 x 13 baking pan.
  3. Layer sausage on top of bread.
  4. Beat eggs in a bowl. Mix in milk, salt and dried mustard.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage and bread.
  6. Layer cheese over the top.
  7. Cover and place in refrigerator for 7-8 hours or overnight.
  8. When ready to cook, remove from refrigerator and cover with foil.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for 15 more minutes.
