WHAT IS TAJIN?

A common Mexican condiment, Tajín is prepared by combining salt, lime, and dried chili peppers. It is a flexible component that may be used to enhance a number of meals because of its tangy, gently spicy flavor with a dash of citrus.

Tajín gives a zesty taste without being too spicy, and it’s commonly sprinkled on fruits, vegetables, and snacks like popcorn or almonds. It is a mainstay of Mexican cooking and has gained popularity all over the world for its extraordinary capacity to bring out flavors with just the right amount of heat.

HOW TO STORE SEASONED PEANUTS

To preserve the crunch and taste of seasoned peanuts, including those sprinkled in Tajín, store them by following these recommendations:

1. Cool Completely

To avoid accumulation of moisture that can result in sogginess, let the peanuts cool down to room temperature after it has been baked and not consumed right away.

2. Make use of an Airtight Container

After the peanuts are fully cooled and is at room temperature, you transfer these into a container. You can either use an airtight container or resealable plastic bag. This will keep out the air and moisture. We don’t want that!

3. Keep in mind to store in a cool dry place

Another thing to remember – store the peanuts in a pantry or cabinet out of direct sunshine and heat. So if you are not going to eat them right away, don’t forget to move them away from the sun. These Tajin peanuts can go for 2 to four weeks as long as it is kept properly.

4. Refrigerate

You can put the peanuts in the fridge for extended storage. This keeps food fresher longer, particularly in humid conditions. This can last up to 2 to 3 months in the refrigerator.
