This recipe utilizes store-bought frosting so that it is quick and easy! You can always make your own homemade if you prefer.
HOW TO MAKE EASY REINDEER CUPCAKES
These are really fun to make with your kids. 🙂
STEP ONE: MELT CANDY MELTS
Grab a baking sheet and line it with wax paper.
Take the chocolate candy melts and melt them in the microwave according to the package directions until they are smooth and melted.
If you want the candy melts to be pourable you can add 1 teaspoon of vegetable shortening or coconut oil to the melted chocolate.
STEP TWO: DIP PRETZELS
Dip the pretzels into the melted chocolate to completely cover the pretzels. Allow the excess chocolate to drip back off into the bowl.
Lay the dipped pretzels onto the wax paper to dry.
STEP THREE: DIP COOKIES
It is time to dip the Nutter Butter cookies into the melted chocolate so they are completely covered. Allow any excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
STEP FOUR: ATTACH ANTLERS
Place the dipped cookies on the wax paper and immediately attach the pretzel antlers to the top of each cookie before the chocolate hardens.
STEP FIVE: ADD EYES AND NOSE
Add the candy eyes and the red cinnamon candy nose to each dipped cookie before the chocolate hardens.
Allow the cookie to set up completely.
STEP SIX: FROST CUPCAKES
Place the chocolate frosting into the piping bag with the large open star tip on the end.
Pipe the frosting onto each cupcake.
STEP SEVEN: ADD REINDEER
When the reindeer are completely set up then add one reindeer face to the top of each cupcake.
