This Italian Sausage Wraps recipe doesn’t take long to make and your entire family is going to love it.
Ingredients Needed for Italian Sausage Wraps
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
- 1 pound Italian sausage links (hot or sweet, or a mixture), quartered
- 1 cup (medium-sized) red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch squares
- 1 cup (medium-sized) green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch squares
- 1 cup (medium) onion, cut into thin wedges
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt to taste
- large lettuce leaves (Romaine or Iceberg)
How to Make Italian Sausage Wraps
In a large skillet add half a tablespoon of olive oil and sausage and cook and stir until the meat is well browned.
In another bowl, add the peppers and the onions, Italian seasoning, salt and the other half of the olive oil and mix.
Add the mixture to the sausage.
Cook and cover and occasionally stir until sausage is fully cooked and vegetables are tender.
Serve in lettuce cups.
