HOW TO MAKE WEIGHT WATCHERS 2 INGREDIENT DOUGH POPTARTS
The hardest part of any Weight Watchers 2 Ingredient Dough recipe is dealing with the dough. It is sticky dough, but the hassle is worth it!!
These are made in the air fryer, and they come out crispy and perfect. You can bake them in the oven too…I haven't done it so am not sure how long they will need. Just keep an eye on them for doneness!
STEP ONE: MAKE THE 2 INGREDIENT DOUGH
The first step is to make the 2 ingredient dough. Combine the Greek yogurt and the self-rising flour and knead them into a dough ball.
I will tell you that I have tried doing this by hand and find it is MUCH easier to do in a stand mixer using the dough hook.
STEP TWO: ROLL OUT DOUGH
Once the dough is formed, it is time to roll it out.
Flour your surface WELL….this extra flour is critical to dealing with a sticky dough. Flour the rolling pin also before you roll it out.
After the dough is rolled out, use a round cookie cutter or a glass to cut out dough circles.
STEP THREE: EGG WASH
Now it is time to make the egg wash. In a small bowl, combine the egg and 1 Tbsp of milk. Whisk together.
Brush some egg wash on each circle of dough.
STEP THREE: FILLING
Take another small bowl and combine the filling ingredients and mix well.
Spoon 1/2 teaspoon of filling onto every OTHER dough circle.
STEP FOUR: MAKE POPTARTS
Take each empty dough circle and place one on top of a filling topped dough circle.
Use a fork to press the edges together to seal.
STEP FIVE: AIR FRY
Place the poptarts on the air fryer rack and cook for 4 minutes.
Turn the poptarts over and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
Place the cooked poptarts on a wire rack to cool completely.
STEP SIX: ICING
While the poptarts are cooking, it is time to make the icing.
Combine the icing ingredients in a small bowl and stir to combine.
You want the icing to be a little bit thick.
When the poptarts are cool, spread some icing on top of each one. It will harden as it sits.

Hi Jamie, so sorry you broke your ankle. I don’t have an air fryer. Can I bake these? What temperature? Hope you heal quickly!
I don’t have an air fryer what can I do?
You can bake them in the oven! Just bake until golden brown.
Does the egg wash go on the outside or the inside of the pop tart?
on the outside
If I only have all purpose flour, what do I change or add?
I am not sure. I have not tried it with plain flour.
Mine came out super puffy! Puff balls, not pop tarts 😜 normal?
I haven’t had that experience! My 2 ingredient dough has never puffed up on any of the different types of recipes I have made, LOL. I guess the question is…were they still tasty?
I wonder low carb street taco tortillas could be used for this.
I think it is worth a try! Let me know how it works out.
For the filling, we use a sugar free jelly. But yes, the dough is super sticky! We also use it for pizza crust.
