WHAT IS APPLE CRISP?
Not everyone grows up eating apple crisp.
Apple crisp is an apple dessert that has a streusel-type topping. It is usually baked or made in the slow cooker. The topping will typically contain oats and sugars and cinnamon.
There are many variations of apple crisp. It is a great way to use up extra apples and I feel like it is easier to make than apple pie.
WHAT KIND OF APPLES ARE USED IN APPLE CRISP?
A common question people ask when making apple crisp, apple pie, or any other apple dessert is…what kind of apples do you use?
The answer is…it depends! It really depends on what YOU like.
Firm and crisp apples tend to make delicious apple pies and apple crisps. I love to use Granny Smith or Honey Crisp. Some people like to use Golden Delicious.
I think any variety will turn out well. Use what you have or what is on sale! Try it out using different varieties each time and decide which one you think tastes best and let us know in the comments.

Are your nutritional facts for the pan or 1 serving? I use iTrack Bites and this came out as 6 bites (points). I’d love to try this, it looks delicious and I love crisps!
The nutritional facts box says that the amounts are per serving. Some advice…I would never trust ANY online recipe’s nutritional facts to be 100% accurate. They are calculated by the recipe card app and it is very hard to adjust them for certain ingredients. My WW recipes are all based on calculating using the WW recipe builder. Thanks!
Do you think peaches could be substituted for the apples?
Yes I do!
