WHAT IS OVEN FRIED?

Oven-fried foods are simply foods that are cooked in the oven in a way that should simulate real fried food.

There are different ways to make oven-fried foods, but most involve coating the item in a breading of some kind. It is also important to use some kind of fat or coating to help make the food crispy.

I have tried different recipes for oven-fried foods, and some turn out great, and others…not so much. When I find a good recipe for oven-fried foods, I keep them close because they can be hard to find!!

HOW TO MAKE WW OVEN FRIED SHRIMP

This recipe is simple but does require a little bit of time for breading the shrimp. This method is still much lower in points than if you buy already breaded shrimp at the store.

STEP ONE: PREPARE SHRIMP

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Take a baking sheet and cover it with foil. Spray the foil with olive oil nonstick spray.

If you have frozen shrimp, they will need to be thawed out first!

Clean, peel and devein the shrimp if you didn't purchase them that way. Be sure to keep the tails on!

Take a shallow bowl and add the cleaned shrimp. Put a teaspoon of Old Bay Seasoning, garlic, and onion powder in the bowl and mix it around with the shrimp until they are well coated in the seasonings.
