It all starts with the diabetes-specific zero point foods list. These foods are on the list because they are less likely to cause a spike in blood sugar levels.

WHAT IS DIFFERENT BETWEEN THE ZERO POINT LISTS?
If you are wondering what is different between the zero point foods list for non-diabetic members and the list or diabetic members…here are the differences.
- The diabetic list doesn't include foods that are higher in carbs.
- There is no fruit on the diabetic list.
- Dairy won't be found on the diabetic list.
- There are no whole grains on the diabetic list.
- The diabetic list DOES include avocado as a zero point food. This isn't on the regular list.
HOW DO I GET ON THE DIABETIC WEIGHT WATCHERS PLAN?
If you are new to Weight Watchers you will be asked during sign up if you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes. If you answer YES to either of these, you will be automatically signed up for this program.
Members who have been diagnosed with diabetes at some point after they joined can always go into their settings and indicate that they have diabetes and then their plan will change accordingly.
