SHOULD DIABETICS BE ON THE WW PROGRAM?
Many people with diabetes follow the Weight Watchers program. Weight Watchers has a specific plan for people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
When you enroll, you will be asked if you have Type 1 or 2 Diabetes. If you answer yes, you will automatically be enrolled in the diabetic plan.
The great thing about the WW diabetic plan is that it considers your condition but still gives you plenty of options and a tremendous zero-point food list. The diabetic zero-point list is different from the regular WW plan zero-point list.
Remember, it is always best to consult your physician before you embark on a weight loss program of any kind.
MEAL PLANS FOR DIABETICS ON THE WW PROGRAM
People with specific dietary needs sometimes find it hard to locate meal plans that will work for them. There are not a lot of diabetic meal plans for Weight Watchers out there.
I know this is a struggle because I am contacted by readers who would like to see more specific plans.
As a registered nurse and the wife of a Type 2 diabetic…I decided it was time to write a Weight Watchers Diabetic Meal Plan.
This meal plan is not specific to Weight Watchers but works well for anyone trying to eat a healthy diet.
WEIGHT WATCHERS DIABETIC MEAL PLAN
I wrote a 7-day meal plan specific for diabetics. Here are some of the details about the plan:
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are listed for each day.
- Every recipe comes with the meal plan so that you can print them.
- Each meal or snack has current Weight Watchers Program (2023) points figured. There is also a daily point total.
- There is a complete shopping list for the meal plan to make life even easier.
- The plan utilizes leftovers to decrease the number of meals you cook.
7 DAY MEAL PLAN FOR WEIGHT LOSS
This 7-day meal plan is full of a variety of recipes. I know that you may not like every single thing on the plan. I have never purchased a cookbook, etc., where I liked everything. But I always find some new favorites.
The great thing is you can swap out items you don't like for something you do like. The recipes even come with variation ideas.
Some days are low in points, and others are higher. This allows you to have extra snacks or portions.
I believe variety is a big key to success. Once we get bored eating the same things over and over…we tend to go off plan and binge.
This meal plan is extensive and is 28 pages long!
You can purchase it below for only $1.99.
