WHAT IS PUFFY SNOW PAINT?
Puffy snow paint is actually just a kind of glue mixture that is created to dry like paint. The base paint recipe is really only 2 ingredients and you can build on that base recipe to create some lovely kid-friendly paint.
The addition of the shaving cream creates a “puffy” paint that children adore using.
This paint works best when it is used on thicker surfaces like cardstock or construction paper. Depending on how liberally the child paints and how much “paint” they use on their project it might be too heavy for a regular piece of paper.

EASY SNOW PAINT VARIATIONS
I love DIY projects that are easy to modify for different seasons and holidays.
This post shows a pretty white, sparkly puffy snow paint that works so well this time of year. Kids can create snowflakes and snow scenes with this white snow paint.
If you want to adapt the recipe for Valentine's Day all you have to do is add a little red or pink food coloring to the mixture and change the white glitter for pink or red glitter.
This can be made any color you want! You can make it with or without glitter too.
The other fun variation is to add some essential oils for a scented puffy paint. Just be sure to be careful to add oils that are kid and skin safe.

HOW TO MAKE PUFFY SNOW PAINT AT HOME
If you have 5 minutes then you have enough time to make this easy puffy snow paint recipe. Mix some paint up and then watch your kids create at the kitchen table while you make dinner.
STEP ONE: MAKE SNOW PAINT
Grab a large bowl and a whisk. Pour 1 cup of glue and 1-2 cups of shaving cream into the bowl.
Whisk these together well.
The more shaving cream you add the puffier the paint will be.
STEP TWO: ADD GLITTER
Now the fun part if you are like me and love glitter. Pour in the glitter and stir it all up.
You can use as much or as little as you like. I LOVE sparkles so I use a lot, LOL.
STEP THREE: PAINT
Give your child some construction paper and let them get creative. They can paint with paint brushes, sponges or even cotton swabs.
As they paint you can sprinkle additional glitter on top of the paint before it dries if you want.
Let their creations dry.
You can get really creative by adding white pom poms, sequins or even gems to the paint before it dries for some great 3D effects.
