CLASS ACTIVITIES FOR EARTH DAY
Earth day is a fun time of year to get kids excited about taking care of our world. There are so many fun activities you can do to engage children on this important topic.
Here are some fun ideas of class activities to do for Earth Day after you finish playing Earth Day Bingo.
- Go out as a class and clean up the school grounds or a local park.
- Work on a school recycling project that is student-led.
- Visit a recycling center as a class field trip.
- Do a craft project with recycled objects from around the school.
- Go on a virtual field trip by watching videos of the rain forest or other locations around the world that need assistance.
- Plant a tree together as a class.
EARTH DAY BINGO
Kids love to play games and a fun way to end Earth Day would be with a game of bingo.
It is simple to play bingo with these picture cards. You will be able to print off a key with all the pictures used in the game.
Instead of calling a letter and number combination you will call a letter and picture for each turn.
There are tons of ways to get a bingo! Be creative and the kids will love it even more.
FUN BINGO PRIZES
Bingo is not nearly as fun if you don't have any prizes to give away. I am giving you some ideas for bingo prizes for any budget!
- Earth Stress Balls are something kids can use for a long time. The ball looks just like our earth and will remind kids of Earth Day and all they learned.
- Earth Day Bookmarks are laminated and will last. These also have a ribbon to help you see where the bookmark is located. The bookmark has a great earth day message.
- Recycling Earth Day Buttons can be put on the kid's backpacks as a daily reminder to take care of our world.
PRINTABLE EARTH DAY BINGO CARDS FOR THE CLASS
It is more fun to play bingo when you have plenty of unique cards. This spreads the winners out and kids have a ball!
